Show Etiquette

We live in a great neighborhood and couldn’t ask to have better neighbors.  Yet, with the traffic we expect with our light display, we kindly ask that you adhere to the following rules so there might be a bigger, better show in 2010.

1) Make sure a lane is always open on our street.  We need to keep a lane open at all times for emergency vehicles and our neighbors to get to / from home.

2) Please don’t park on our lawn or our neighbor’s lawns.  Even the edge of your tire can destroy countless hours of hard work.

3) Don’t turn around in anyone’s driveway.  Please use the neighborhood’s cul-de-sacs for turning around (besides, that gives you a chance to check out some other great displays in our neighborhood).

4) Don’t block anyone’s driveway.

5) Follow the posted speed limits.

6) Be patient.  We realize everyone is in a rush for Christmas.  Yet, we hope as many people get a chance to enjoy our display as possible.  That said, there may be a log jam from time-to-time.  Be patient, wait your turn and everyone will get a chance to enjoy the display.

7) Don’t touch any of the displays.  They are electrified at all times and could cause serious harm if you touch them.  Anyone caught in our yard will be considered trespassers and will be handled accordingly.  Does this sound harsh?  Sure it does, but we want to make sure everyone that visits our display lives to see Christmas.  Safety is our Number One priority.

8) Tune your radio to 91.1 FM to “hear the show”.  However, keep the volume at a reasonable level, as not to disturb our neighbors.

9) Spread the word.  The more people that see our display, the more money we can raise for our 2009 partner charity, The Humane Society of Concord and Greater Cabarrus County (see our Donations page for more details).

10) Have a fun, safe and Merry Christmas!!
